Born Uniqorn designers Taryn Manning and Tara Jane threw a fundraiser for LA's Best (Better Educated Students for Tomorrow) at super hip Bardot. Partiers smoked 'em if they had 'em under the retractable roof and then did the unthinkable - paid for their drinks (proceeds benefited the after school program). Manning's band Boomkat performed and her Hustle and Flow co-star DJ Qualls showed up for a little whoop-that-trick arm action during the set. " '09 time to shine!" Manning shouted before belting out another tune. Earlier that day Jane and Manning held a workshop with the kids where they decorated t-shirts.
