Sexy Thing

L.A.-based singer-songwriter Erika Jayne had herself an album release party at the high-end erotica shop Coco de Mer on Melrose. There were copies of her danceable debut Pretty Mess at the entrance, cucumber tea sandwiches (I don't think the reference was phallic—the original Coco de Mer is in London), and a goody bag that would make you blush. Brit Michael Des Barres said a few words, but mostly there was mingling amid the $175 antique handcuffs and the tattooed and gartered live window displays. The party spilled out onto the back patio under Chinese lanterns with Jayne's sexy electronica in the air. And you can bet your cockrel feather tickler (with a reclaimed teak handle) that I helped myself to a goody bag on the way out.
