Grassroots Effort

The Jackie Robinson Foundation held its 4th Annual JAZZ on the Grass benefit at the manse of Lynne and Oz Scott. The foundation provides college and grad school scholarships as well as mentoring for minority students. Jazz lovers gathered in the Scott's backyard to groove to Dave Koz, James Ingram, MC Lyte, and even Michael Chiklis? Hey, the actor can carry a tune and sang "Mustang Sally" with gusto before jumping into the pool. More than $100,000 was raised on a sunny afternoon.
